International Event Day

GLAMORGAN UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL DAY

When? : 20 March 2009
Where? : Student Union, University of Glamorgan

Most of the members,including 2 non members (Post grads) helped with the setup required for our Malaysian information booth, an interactive presentation were represented by our volunteers (country information, national recipes, tourism sights and places etc.) Followed by a traditional game demonstration, Sepak Raga volunteered by 3 students. The event continued with other countries performances such as belly dance, salsa, acoustics singing and etc. This followed by a fashion show runaway walk and quizzes prize winner. One of our members, Norshaly Afzan Mokhtar won the first prize; GBP 100 travel voucher. All the items displayed at the booth were borrowed from Malaysian Student Society Cardiff University (thank you so much!). MSSG will also request items from the Malaysia Tourism for any event in the future to promote Malaysian culture. This event ran successfully with the help of all committee members and non members (thank you all!). Everyone were satisfied with the colourful informative booth especially from the Glamorgan International Society organizer.
