Glamorgan International Day

University of Glamorgan International Day 2009 Report
Date : 27 November 2009 Venue : Boys and Girls Club Time : 2pm-6pm

The Malaysian booth was lead by Shazana, and a few other students to help setup the booth. Interactive presentation includes country information, tourism sights and places and other information as well. The countries performances started at 3 pm where three of our own students volunteered to perform acoustic performance which is a song called “Kau Ilhamku”. The event continues with other countries performances such as salsa dance, belly dance, martial art performance and runway fashion show. All the items displayed at the Malaysian booth were given by the Malaysian Student Department (MSD). The event was a success with help by all the committee members and non-members as well. Overall, the event run smoothly and everyone satisfied with the colourful booths and especially the Malaysian booth which can be seen as the most outstanding one. Hopefully in the future we can do much better and get all the supports from all the members of MSSGlam.

UOG INTERNATIONAL DAY

As you all know, tomorrow (Friday 27th Nov 09) is going to be Glamorgan Uni's International Day.

We would really need help from all of you to volunteer to setting up our Malaysian booth at Boys & Girls Club at 11.30am

The event will opens to public at 12:30pm and the performances will start about 3pm- 6pm.

There will be a after party on the next day (Saturday 28th Nov 09)

It starts at 8pm in Beacons Bar. If you are a member, you do not have to buy a ticket, the afterparty is free for the first 100 members who turn up at the venue.

If you are not a member, you have 2 options:

1. buy the ticket for 3 pounds in the Student Union reception (B block)

2. buy a membership for the whole year, it costs 3 pounds as well, plus you can get in the afterparty for free.

Refering to the latest meeting of MSSG on 21^st of November 2009, the committee has agreed that

1. Compulsory member’s fee is £2 to be paid to Students Union and MSSG fee is £10.

2. Students need to register with NUS before register with MSSG. You need to register with Malaysian Student Department (MSD) as soon as possible as the programs are just around the corner.(Click here to MASDUKE Offical Website)(Click here to MASDUKE Offical Website)

3. This club is open to non-Malaysian as well.

4. Due date fees collection is on Wednesday, 2^nd December 2009

We hope to get the support from all members to help the committee so that we can improve the reputation of our society and the good name of GLAMORGAN UNIVERSITY. All the suggestions and plans relies on our UNITY, COOPERATIONS and SUPPORTS towards the MSSGLAM. We really appreciate and warmly welcome each and everyone of you for any suggestion and participation.

Happy Adha Eid From MSSGlam Committee

Sunat puasa di hari ke-9 Zulhijjah (Hari 'Arafah) Khamis (261109) kelebihan berpuasa pada hari tersebut dapat menghapuskan dosa-dosa setahun yang telah lalu dan dosa setahun yang akan datang, sebagaimana hadith yang telah diriwayatkan oleh Imam Muslim dimana Rasulullah SAW telah ditanya tentang berpuasa di hari 'Arafah: Maka Baginda bersabda: “Ia menebus dosa setahun yang telah lalu dan setahun yang akan datang.”

Assalamualaikum to all members,InsyALLAH you are all in the best of health and iman..

On Thursday 26th (Day of 'Aarafa) iftar will be provided in the mosque after Maghrib.

Would be great if all of you could join to break our fast together insyaAllah
